I will be speaking at three events next week:
Tuesday, March 18, 7:00 p.m. at the Ramada Inn, 455 S. Second St. San Jose in the upstairs meeting room, I will be one of three presenters from the Coalition for Redevelopment Reform, talking about the RDA's misuse of eminent domain, the Tropicana, and transit-oriented, high- density housing along light rail (sustainable development locally). The meeting is the South University Neighborhood association meeting.
Wednesday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. I will be presenting on a panel at the meeting of the United Neighborhood of Santa Clara County. They are talking about using City Watch to gain more influence in City and County decision-making. I will be talking about how to get neighborhood groups onto City and County tasks forces. They are located at 525 Alma St., San Jose.
Thursday, March 20, West Valley Republican Women's meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Holder's Country Inn restaurant, 998 S. DeAnza Blvd. I will be speaking just before dessert at 12:45. The topic: Local Smart Growth and Sustainable Development Policies, as seen in light rail, transit-oriented development and RDA plans. If you want to make a reservation get in touch with email@example.com or come at 12:45.
Just a reminder--property rights are under attack throughout California and especially in San Jose. Almost every city in Santa Clara County has Redevelopment Agencies that can use extended powers of eminent domain (taking property) for private not public use.
Isn't it great about Elizebeth Smart. We can thank God for answered prayers.
